Welcome to Bethany Church

Bethany Church is a multi-cultural congregation just off of Main Street in West Orange, New Jersey (click here for directions). We are part of The Evangelical Free Church of America. Our Sunday worship service is at 10:30 a.m.

We offer a variety of programs for adults, and our youth ministry is conducted through our non-profit community development corporation, the Bethany Center for Champions.

What is Evangelical Free?

The Evangelical Free Church is a protestant denomination of believers in Jesus Christ. "Free" refers to the fact that within this denomination, each church is autonomous while being interdependent.

What can I expect when I visit Bethany?

Expect to feel welcomed by a family of genuine people who love Jesus and care about you. Expect worshipful music and a challenging, biblical message. Expect to be fed, both spiritually and physically (we have a fellowship meal two Sundays a month).

How can I get to know people at Bethany?

Bethany hosts a fellowship meal on the second and fourth Sundays of each month. Bethany also offers bible studies (men's, women's and all church) and prayer meetings.

What if I have questions about my faith?

We would love the opportunity to answer your questions and share our faith in Jesus Christ. Come and visit on a Sunday morning and talk to one of our pastors or elders. Walking through faith journeys and trials with mature Christians is both wise and biblical.
