BiographyPastor Zachary Guyton

Pastor Zachary Guyton, born and raised in southern New Jersey, is the ninth of ten children of Pastor Horace and Mrs. Vivian Guyton.

He received a B.A. in Economics from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania in 1987, and was employed in facilities and distribution management for several companies before his calling into ministry

Pastor Zach and Sherene McFarlane married in 1994, just before moving to Columbia, South Carolina for him to pursue a Master of Divinity at Columbia Biblical Seminary. During his time in Seminary, he was involved with at-risk youth and prison ministry. Son Caleb joined the Guyton family in 2003.   After graduation in 2004,  he was called to Pastor Bethany Evangelical Free Church.

In 2009, Pastor Zach added the title of Executive Director of Bethany Center for Champions (BCC) to his job description. BCC is the non-profit ministry arm of Bethany Church, serving as an after-school safe haven for the youth of West Orange, to meet the spiritual, social, physical and academic needs of the community.
